Carrie Bates is a Christian Singer from Missouri. She grew up in a small town outside of Kansas City. She was raised by Christian parents and started singing in church when she was 16. While in High School, she was a member of "The Celebration", a church choir open to teens in the community which was hosted by her church. The group traveled for a week each summer singing at a number of churches.
Carrie went on to receive her degree in Accounting and Business from William Jewell College. While there, she also studied classical music and was a member of the Chapel Choir. Since graduating, she has worked as an accountant in banking and manufacturing.
Carrie and her husband Ron are members of The First Baptist Church and are very active in the music ministry there. They both sing in the choir and Carrie is on the Praise team and directs the children's choir.
Carrie recorded her first CD project in Branson. The album is a mix of southern gospel, country, and contemporary christian. Carrie and Ron sing at festivals, fundraisers, conventions, and local churches, bringing the word in song and testimony.
Carrie released her first single "Waiting in the Water" to radio under Ministry First Music. It is being played on Branson Gospel Radio as well as other stations across the country, Canada and Ireland.
Carrie and Ron are members of Country Gospel Music Association, MO-KAN Gospel, and the Kearney Community Theatre. Carrie has played many roles in musicals and plays for over 20 years, as well as helping with choreography and music.
